ARTIST RENDITION OF PARK

While the park was in the planning stage, the park commissioners agreed that a visual effect was needed to show people what the park would look like upon completion.

Armed with architectural drawings and high hopes they approached local artist Judy Dixon, to see if she would bring the park to life on canvas.  Using the drawings and verbal input from the commissioners, Judy began to sketch the park as it was drawn up.  What you see is the result of Judy’s labor.  The original painting is on display at the American Legion, Post 12 in Dixon.  To this fate, it is the only painting of the park.

From the original drawings of five years ago, changes have been made and updates have taken place throughout the park, but Judy’s painting was the first breath of life to a new park still on the drawing board.
